Sail through the heart of ancient Egypt and witness the majesty of its most sacred sites. This 3-night cruise from Aswan to Luxor includes a special overland journey to the great Temples of Abu Simbel. From the riverbanks to the tombs, from mighty pyramids to god-kings, this journey tells the story of a civilization carved in stone and carried by the Nile.

We will meet you at your hotel in Aswan and begin your journey along the Nile.

  1. Philae Temple
Begin with the breathtaking Philae Temple, rescued by UNESCO from the rising Nile waters. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, it marks the spiritual end of ancient Egyptian religion. Here lies the last known hieroglyphic inscription, dated 394 AD.

  2. Unfinished Obelisk
Continue to the granite quarries to visit the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest ever attempted. This colossal monument reveals the genius of ancient stonework and the challenges that halted its completion.

  3. Cruise Check-In
After sightseeing, check in to your Nile Cruise and relax as you prepare for the next day’s journey to Abu Simbel.

Set off early for the crown jewel of Nubian temples.

  1. Abu Simbel Temples
Carved into rock cliffs and built by Ramses II, these twin temples once stood at Egypt’s southern frontier. Relocated 65 meters higher to escape the waters of Lake Nasser, they remain a testament to power and divine kingship. Inside the Great Temple, four sacred statues were once illuminated by the sun on just two days a year.

  2. The Small Temple
Dedicated to Queen Nefertari and the goddess Hathor, this temple honors the beauty, love, and balance of ancient beliefs.

After the visit, we escort you back to Aswan for a smooth return to your cruise.

  1. Kom Ombo Temple
Visit the unique dual temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Her Wer, the falcon god. Don’t miss the Crocodile Mummification Museum nearby, home to dozens of preserved sacred animals.

  2. Temple of Horus at Edfu
After lunch, ride by horse carriage to the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s best-preserved monuments. Built in the Greco-Roman period, it showcases scenes of Horus avenging his father Osiris in the battle against Seth. Sail on to Luxor by sunset.

  1. The West Bank
Cross the Nile to explore the Valley of the Kings. Step inside the tomb of Tutankhamun to see his mummy, as well as the majestic tombs of Ramses VI and Seti I. Then visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, Egypt’s powerful female pharaoh, and stop for photos at the Colossi of Memnon.

  2. The East Bank
Continue to Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex in the world, spanning over 247 acres. Conclude with a visit to Luxor Temple, a masterpiece begun by Amenhotep III and finished by Ramses II.

After this unforgettable journey, we will escort you to your requested drop-off point in Luxor.
